چکیده

PurposeTo determine diagnostic performance of preoperative CT in differentiating between benign and malignant suspicious gallbladder lesions to develop a risk score.MethodAll patients referred January 2007 September 2018 for suspicion cancer (GBC) or incidentally found GBC were retrospectively analyzed. Patients excluded when histopathologic examination was lacking. Two radiologists, blinded histopathology results, independently reviewed images differentiate disease from GBC. Multivariable analysis internal validation used score Model discrimination, calibration, assessed.ResultsIn total, 118 with 39 (33 %) 79 (67 included. Sensitivity diagnosing 90 % (95 confidence interval [CI]: 76–97). Specificity rates 61 CI: 49–72) 59 48–70). Three predictors (irregular lesion aspect, absence fat stranding, locoregional lymphadenopathy) included the ranging -1 4. Adequate (AUC: 0.79, calibration slope: 0.89). In allocated >0 points, model showed higher excluding than radiologists (sensitivity 92 [95 79–98]). Moreover, >3 superior (specificity 99 93–100]).ConclusionsSensitivity differentiation are high, however specificity relatively low. The proposed may facilitate lesions.

Diagnostic value of PET/CT in differentiating benign from malignant solitary pulmonary nodules.

PURPOSE Solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) are round or oval lesions with a clear border with the surrounding parenchymal tissue and a radiologic diameter smaller than 3 cm which are not associated with atelectasis, pneumonia, lymphadenopathy, or chest wall pathologies. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy of positron emission tomography (PET) / computerized tomography (...

Evaluation of Ki67, p16 and CK17 Markers in Differentiating Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia and Benign Lesions

Background: Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is a premalignant lesion capable of progressing to cervical cancer. Despite the existing well-defined criteria, the histomorphologic diagnosis is subject to high rates of discordance among pathologists. The aim of this study was to evaluate Ki-67 (MIB-1), CK17 and p16 INK4a (p16) markers by immunohistochemical methods in differentiating CIN f...

TL-201 Scanning and in Differentiating Malignant from Benign Masses of Breast

Physical examination and mammography are currently the only proven and reliable methods of early detection of breast cancer. Although, both procedures are highly sensitive, their limited specificity often requires surgical biopsy in order to differentiate between malignant and benign lesions.Palpable mass abnormalities of breast are often difficult to evaluate mammographically, especially in pa...

PURPOSE The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the clinical value of dual-time-point F-18 FDG PET/CT imaging to differentiate malignant lymphoma (ML) from benign lymph node (BLN). MATERIALS AND METHODS The subjects were 310 lymph nodes in 84 patients (195 ML lesions in 30 patients and 115 BLN in 54 patients associated with various etiologies.). F-18 FDG PET/CT scan was performed at 5...
